Foster City Youth Softball Association

 Welcome to the Spring 2025 Registration!

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information and sign up for participation. Please complete a separate registration for each player as we ask player-specific questions and request uniform sizes.  If there are siblings, please note their name(s) in the designated field so we can apply the discount. 

SEASON: Team practices for the Spring Season are expected to begin in early February after teams are formed. Games are typically held during March and April.

DIVISIONS: 

• 6U Division: 9/1/2017 - 8/31/2019
• 8U Division: 9/1/2015 - 8/31/2017
• 10U Division: 9/1/2013 - 8/31/2015
• 12U Division: 9/1/2011 - 8/31/2013

Evaluations for 10U and 12U Divisions will take place in early to mid January. 

Our goal is to make a place for all players who would like to play Spring Ball, but actual team placement and teams will depend on the number of players and coaches for each age group. Thus, placement is not guaranteed. 

FEES:

• 6U: $105.00 ($130.00 starting 12/20/2024)
• 8U: $200.00 ($225.00 starting 12/20/2024) 
• 10U: $260.00 ($285.00 starting 12/20/2024)
• 12U: $290.00 ($315.00 starting 12/20/2024)
   

• Fees increase by $25 starting on Wednesday, December 20, 2024.  Registration timestamps will be used to calculate early sign-up costs for each family.

• Family Discount: $20.00 discount for 2nd player in family and 3rd player in family is free.

• Registration Fees above do not include $35.00 non-resident fee and online payment fee of 3.25% plus $1 processing fee.  

• Tournament fees for teams that play in tournaments are not included in the Spring Registration Fee.

• Cancellation Fees: $30.00 if registration is canceled by January 6, 2025 at 11:59 pm Pacific Time 
  50% of Fees if registration is canceled on or or after January 6, 2025 
  No refunds after first team practice
   

PRACTICES:  Practice frequency and duration can vary by age division.  Practice start times vary based on field and coach availability and are not determined until teams have been formed. 

GAMES: 

6U Division: Games are typically held on Saturdays for 60 minutes against other FCYSA 6U teams or other teams on the Peninsula. Players are generally expected to arrive 30 mins prior to start time for warm ups. Practices are once a week.

8U Division: Games are typically held on Saturdays for 90 minutes against other FCYSA 8U teams or other teams on the Peninsula.  Players are generally expected to arrive 1 hour prior to start time for warm ups. Practices are 1-2 times a week.

10U Division: Games are typically played against other city teams in the Peninsula during the weeknights and Saturdays.  Players are generally expected to arrive 1 hour prior to start time for warm ups. Practices are 2-3 times a week.

12U Division: Games are typically played against other city teams in the Peninsula.  Players are generally expected to arrive 1 hour prior to start time for warm ups. Practices are 2-3 times a week.

FLASH SUMMER TOURNAMENT TEAMS and SELECT TEAMS:

- If there is enough interest, Select or Tournament teams may be formed.  A separate evaluation will be required for select and tournament teams.  

- Players MUST sign up for the Spring program in Foster City to be eligible to try out for our Spring Select Teams and Summer Flash Teams in the 8U, 10U and 12U Divisions. This is part of our USA Softball League spring select program and/or summer tournament team program where teams typically play 5-6 tournaments in the summertime.  This program is separate from our 12U and 14U year round travel ball programs.
